Identify any Quran verse on the web, and instantly read its translation. See a verse. Understand it. Quran Lens identifies any Quran ayah you encounter on the web — in a photo, a screenshot, decorative calligraphy, or plain text — and instantly shows its translation and recitation. INTERNET NOTE: image scanning (Google Gemini) and recitation streaming (Quran.com) need an internet connection; text identification and the bundled translations work fully offline. HOW TO USE — 3 WAYS • Capture a region: press Command+Shift+Y (Mac) or Ctrl+Shift+Q (Windows), drag over the verse, and let Google AI read even ornate Arabic calligraphy. • Right-click any image → "Identify Quran Ayah in image". • Select Arabic text and click the Identify button — or right-click → "Identify Quran Ayah (selected text)". You can also paste Arabic text straight into the popup. TRANSLATIONS — BUNDLED. Every translation is packaged inside the extension, so verses load instantly with no internet connection. Nine languages are supported, including English, Arabic, Urdu, Turkish, French, and Spanish. LISTEN Stream verse recitation by Mishary Alafasy (powered by Quran.com), with more reciters available. Every word lights up in sync with the reciter's voice, and a built-in Surah player recites an entire surah straight through — the next ayah is pre-buffered and crossfaded in, so playback is continuous with no gaps between verses. SAVE & NAVIGATE Save verses to review later, and jump to the previous or next ayah in sequence. Open any result on quran.com with one click. PRIVACY-FIRST • Text matching runs 100% locally on your device — selected and pasted text never leaves your browser. • Image identification is opt-in: only the single image you choose is sent to Google Gemini, using your own free API key from aistudio.google.com/apikey. • No accounts, no ads, no analytics, no browsing-history collection. Quran Lens is an independent project. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google or quran.com. Translation and Tafsir content remains the property of its respective credited sources.
