Use AI to correct, rewrite, or transform selected text in Chrome. PromptPaste is an AI text assistant for Chrome that works directly with selected text on web pages. Correct grammar, rewrite text, summarize content, translate text, explain selected content, or run your own custom AI actions without repeatedly copying and pasting text between websites and AI tools. Features: • Correct and rewrite selected text • Run selected text as an AI prompt • Create custom actions with your own prompts • Choose your preferred AI provider and model • Preview and edit generated results before replacing the original text • Use the floating action menu, context menu, toolbar popup, or keyboard shortcuts • Optional local history for reviewing previous inputs and results • Refresh available models directly from supported providers PromptPaste works with text inputs, text areas, contenteditable elements, and many rich-text editors. You can use either cloud AI services or a locally running Ollama server. Provider credentials and configuration are managed directly in PromptPaste settings. Privacy: PromptPaste does not include telemetry. Text is sent to the configured AI provider only when you explicitly run an action. API keys are stored locally using Chrome extension storage. History is disabled by default. If enabled, inputs and generated results are stored locally in the extension's storage. When using a locally running Ollama server, AI processing can remain on your own device. PromptPaste does not operate on Chrome internal pages or the Chrome Web Store because Chrome does not allow extensions to inject scripts into those pages.
