Description
This extension retires on October 30, 2026. Keep using MagicSchool at app.magicschool.ai, where your tools and saved work live. MagicSchool AI is a Chrome extension for K-12 teachers that brings MagicSchool's AI tools into the browser. It lets teachers use MagicSchool while working on other websites, so they can draft, rewrite, and give feedback on content without switching tabs. This extension is retiring on October 30, 2026. Until then, it continues to work as described below. After that date, the same features are available in the MagicSchool web app at https://app.magicschool.ai. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES - Opens MagicSchool in a side panel on any webpage, so teachers can use it alongside Google Docs, Gmail, Google Classroom, and other sites. - Gives access to Raina, MagicSchool's AI assistant, to answer questions and generate classroom content. - Lets teachers select text on a page and use MagicSchool tools to rewrite it, adjust reading level, summarize it, or draft feedback. - Lets teachers copy generated content back into the page they're working on. - Uses the teacher's existing MagicSchool account, so their tools and saved work are the same as in the web app. WHY IT IS RETIRING We're focusing on the MagicSchool web app, which includes every tool, Raina, and your saved work. Moving to the web app gives teachers the most up to date version of MagicSchool. WHAT TO DO 1. Go to https://app.magicschool.ai and sign in with the same account you use for the extension. 2. Bookmark it so MagicSchool is always one click away. 3. Remove this extension from Chrome. Click the puzzle piece icon in your toolbar, click the three dots next to MagicSchool AI, and choose "Remove from Chrome." YOUR WORK IS SAFE Your account and everything saved to it live in MagicSchool, not in this extension. Nothing is lost when the extension retires. CAN'T REMOVE IT? If your school or district installed this extension for you, you may not be able to remove it yourself. We're working with district admins directly, and the extension will stop working on October 30 either way. Your school's IT team can also help. QUESTIONS? Thank you to every teacher who used the MagicSchool Chrome extension. We can't wait to see you in the web app.
