Override geolocation for web development and testing. Supports manual coordinates and route simulation with KML/GPX/GeoJSON files. DevTools Advanced Location Override is a DevTools extension designed for web developers who need to test location-based functionality in their applications. It was built out of frustration that the existing DevTools location overrides only worked for a single location at a time, and only allowed you to override the latitude and longitude. Advanced Location Override allows you to override all elements of geolocation, including accuracy, heading, speed, altitude and altitude accuracy. There is also a powerful route simulation tool, that allows you to upload a route as a KML, GPX or GeoJSON file, and have the geolocation respond as if you were following the real route. Perfect for developing web apps that track your location over time. Key features =========== Manual location override - Set custom latitude, longitude, and accuracy values - Advanced options for heading, speed, altitude, and altitude accuracy - Save your favourite locations as presets - Real-time location updates that work with all geolocation APIs Route Simulation - Upload KML, GPX, or GeoJSON files to simulate movement along routes - Automatic bearing calculation using haversine formula for realistic direction changes - Customizable playback speed from 0.5x to 10x - Support for timestamp-based playback from GPS tracks - Randomizable accuracy, speed, altitude, and altitude accuracy for realistic testing Privacy ====== Nothing is sent to us, everything resides on your machine only. Perfect For ========== - Testing location-based web applications - Simulating GPS tracking functionality - Testing geofencing features - Developing navigation applications - QA testing of location-dependent features - Educational purposes for mapping applications Update Notes ============ v1.0.0 Initial release v1.0.1 Fix issues with usage in Blazor web apps v.1.1.0 Make compatible with dark mode Provide 'Compact UI' option and default to it for new and existing users Open source.
