Turn RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds into a clean newspaper-style reading experience with folders, search, and multi-language support. FeedFolio is a sophisticated and visually engaging browser extension designed to revolutionize how you consume news via RSS, Atom, and JSON feeds. It transforms your subscribed feeds into a stylish, newspaper-style tab within your browser, offering an efficient and aesthetically pleasing reading experience. Tailored for users who appreciate streamlined content delivery combined with elegant design, FeedFolio helps you organize, explore, and read your news sources with ease and clarity. By consolidating your feeds into customizable folders and presenting articles in a clean, distraction-free layout, it ensures you stay up-to-date with your favorite content without information overload. With support for multiple feed formats including RSS 2.0, Atom, and JSON Feed, FeedFolio leverages a powerful feed parsing engine that extracts articles complete with images, summaries, and metadata. It uniquely identifies every article based on combined URL and title identifiers to eliminate duplication and maintain seamless aggregation. Your feeds, folders, articles, and personal preferences — such as read/unread status or starred items — are carefully managed and saved locally within your browser, ensuring privacy and quick access without data being sent externally. The interface features intuitive capabilities such as drag-and-drop feed organization, marking articles for follow-up reading, and toggling the read state to keep your news consumption orderly. Feed updates are straightforward: you can manually refresh to fetch the latest articles or set an automatic interval for background updates. FeedFolio utilizes a secure offscreen document environment for feed parsing, allowing updates to happen quietly without interrupting your workflow. To keep things tidy over time, old articles are cleaned up automatically based on a retention window you control, while starred articles are always kept. When opening the newspaper tab through the toolbar icon, the extension either directs you to an already open reader tab or creates a new one, always prioritizing your latest and most relevant content. Articles are displayed in a responsive layout that adapts to your device, showcasing images and summaries that help you quickly assess each story and navigate to the original source if desired — or switch to a compact list-with-reading-pane view when you'd rather scan headlines quickly. Beyond simple reading, FeedFolio offers advanced searching functionality to filter through your saved articles or discover new public feeds, making it an all-in-one tool for news collection and exploration. Notifications — optional and customizable — alert you to fresh articles, keeping you informed without overwhelming your browsing experience. Users can choose between light, dark, or system-matched themes for comfortable reading under various lighting conditions, adjust refresh settings to match their personal routine, and use the interface in their language of choice: English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, or Chinese (Simplified). Moving between readers is easy too, with OPML import and export for bringing subscriptions in from — or taking them to — other feed readers. FeedFolio eliminates the frustration of endlessly scrolling through cluttered news aggregators or missing important updates, enabling you to focus on content that truly matters. Whether you are a news enthusiast, researcher, or casual reader, this extension elevates the experience by combining practicality with refinement, making your news consumption more accessible and enjoyable.
