Read, ask, and learn from useful context anywhere on the web. Lingoak turns anything you read on the web into language practice. Select a word or a sentence on any page — or in a YouTube transcript — and Lingoak explains it where it sits, in the language you've chosen to be taught in. No new tab, no losing your place in the sentence you were reading. WHAT IT DOES • Look things up in place. Select text and get a sense, a translation, or an explanation of the construction — with the original phrase and its exact source kept alongside, so you can see what you actually met. • Ask about the page. Lingo, the assistant in the side panel, reads the page you're on and answers questions grounded in it. • Read and listen. Open an article in a reading view built from its real paragraphs — never a silent summary — and have it read aloud. • Follow YouTube captions. Pick a caption track, expand the transcript, and select from it the same way you'd select from a page. • Keep what's worth remembering. Save a phrase as a memory point. Signed in, your points sync with your Lingoak workspace and come back for review. • Choose where the model runs. Use Chrome's built-in on-device AI, or Lingoak's cloud. Availability, downloads, and failures are shown rather than hidden, and page content stays on your device in on-device mode. • Work in more than two languages. Set the language you're learning, your native language, and the language you want to be taught in — they're independent. Signing in is optional. Signed out, Lingoak works on-device and keeps your data local.
