Non-stop playback, smooth H.264 video, and audio-only data saving in background tabs. TubeKit bundles three lightweight YouTube essentials into one clean toggle panel. Everything runs locally, only on YouTube pages, and no personal data or browsing data is collected or sent to the developer. ▶ NonStop Never see "Video paused. Continue watching?" again. TubeKit dismisses the confirmation automatically so music mixes, lectures, and long streams keep playing — on YouTube and YouTube Music alike. The pause media key on your keyboard keeps working normally. 🎬 H.264 Codec Forces YouTube to serve H.264 streams instead of VP9/AV1. On many laptops and older machines, this can enable more efficient hardware-accelerated decoding for smoother playback, lower CPU usage, and reduced power consumption. Fine-tune it from the popup — block VP9, VP8, AV1, or 60fps streams, and optionally bypass loudness normalization to use the media element’s direct volume level. 🔋 Background Saver The moment a playing YouTube tab goes to the background, TubeKit lowers the video to the lowest available quality and displays a clean "Audio Only" view. Audio continues playing while video bandwidth and processing are reduced. Return to the tab and TubeKit restores your preferred quality automatically. Every feature has its own switch, plus a master switch for everything. Changes to NonStop and Background Saver apply immediately. Enabling H.264 or changing codec options may require reloading the YouTube tab because YouTube selects the video codec when playback begins.
