Closes low-priority Chrome tabs when system RAM runs high. Pairs with the TabTamer helper tray app over localhost. Too many tabs, not enough RAM? TabTamer closes the tabs you don't need — across every Chrome window — in one click, and lets you undo it just as fast. HOW IT DECIDES Tabs are sorted by simple rules you control: • Pinned tabs, the active tab in each window, and tabs playing audio are never touched • Domains on your "always keep" list are safe (Gmail, Docs, GitHub out of the box) • Domains on your "safe to close" list are low-priority (YouTube, Reddit, X, and friends out of the box) • Everything else counts as "unknown" — closed only if you ask for a deeper clean UNDO EVERYTHING Every cleanup snapshots what it closed (the last 10 are kept). Restore a whole cleanup — or just what's still missing — anytime from the popup. OPTIONAL DESKTOP SIDEKICK Install the free TabTamer helper app (Windows) and Chrome cleanup meets real memory monitoring: when your system RAM crosses a threshold you set, a small toast appears in the corner — "Memory high — clean up tabs?" — with one-click cleanup and undo, plus a tray icon that shows your RAM level. The helper talks to the extension only on your own machine (localhost); nothing ever leaves your computer. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No accounts, no analytics, no servers. Tab titles and URLs are read only to sort your tabs, and everything stays on your device. OPTIONAL DESKTOP SIDEKICK Download: https://github.com/lJazzpahlol/tabtamer/releases/latest
