Renders WordPress and Pressbooks revision diffs as formatted text with typeset equations, instead of HTML source. Pressbooks Visual Revisions adds a "View visually" button to the WordPress and Pressbooks revisions screen. The built-in revisions screen compares raw HTML source, which makes it hard to see what a co-author actually changed. This extension renders the same comparison as formatted text: insertions highlighted, deletions struck through, equations typeset, tables and figures rendered. It is built for collaborative writing projects, particularly open textbooks, where reviewing an editor's changes should not require reading code markup. Features: • Paragraph-level alignment, so a small edit does not appear as a whole block being replaced • Paragraphs that were split or merged are matched as a group and show only the real edits • LaTeX equations are typeset, in five notations including [latex] shortcodes and [ … ] delimiters • Changes that do not affect the text, such as HTML entity encoding or a changed wrapper tag, are listed separately instead of colored as edits • Revisions are labeled current, autosave, or empty in the pickers The extension runs only on the revisions screen. It reads revision content from the same site's REST API using the session already in the browser.
