Removes AI Overviews and AI Mode from Google Search with Google's own Web filter — it won't break when Google changes its layout. Google gives you no setting to turn off AI Overviews. This adds one. Most blockers hide the AI box after the page loads, which breaks every time Google reshuffles its markup. This one routes your searches through Google's own Web filter instead — a URL parameter that has worked consistently since 2024. Plain results, the way Search used to work. WHAT IT DOES - Removes AI Overviews from the top of your search results - Skips past the AI Mode tab entirely — one setting covers both - Works on google.com and international domains (.co.uk, .de, .com.au, and more) - One click to see the full page again when you actually want it - Leaves Images, Video, News, and Shopping tabs untouched WHY IT KEEPS WORKING Extensions that delete the AI box from the page are fighting Google's layout, and they lose that fight every few months. This extension asks Google for the plain web view instead — the same thing the "Web" filter under the search bar does, applied automatically to every search. Nothing to break when the page design changes. If Google ever retires that filter, an optional fallback mode is included. It is off by default. WHAT IT DOESN'T DO - No account, no sign-up, no API key - No analytics, no tracking, no data sent anywhere — settings stay on your device - No ads, no affiliate links, no upsells - Requests access to Google Search pages only, nothing else GOOD TO KNOW Plain web results are exactly that — plain. Knowledge panels and other enriched boxes come off along with the AI. The toolbar button reloads your current search with everything back, for the times you want it. If you turned on "Web Guide" in Google's Search Labs, Google puts AI summaries back into the web view. Switch that off in Labs if AI content reappears. SETUP Install it. That's the whole setup. Search Google and the AI Overview is gone. Open the options page if you want to change which domains it covers or turn on the fallback mode. --- Also searched for: how to turn off AI Overviews, disable Google AI Overview, remove AI Mode from Google, hide AI Overviews Chrome, block Google AI summary, get rid of AI Overview, no AI search, plain Google results, ten blue links, Google Web filter, udm=14 extension.
