Open YouTube watch, playlist & Shorts in Desktop for YT (Mac). Toolbar, right-click; optional auto-forward. Not Google/YouTube. Open YouTube watch pages in Desktop for YT — a native Mac app for second-screen viewing. Click a YouTube link in Chrome and open it in Desktop for YT instead of another browser tab. The companion extension hands off watch, playlist, and Shorts URLs to the Mac app via a secure custom URL scheme. Home, search, and subscriptions stay in your browser. How it works • Toolbar button — On a matching YouTube tab, click the extension icon → Open this tab. • Right-click — On a link or page: Open in Desktop for YT. • Optional auto-forward — Turn on in the popup if you want matching navigations to hand off automatically (off by default). The extension opens a small handoff page that launches the Mac app and offers Copy app link if the app is not installed yet. Requires Desktop for YT on macOS Install the Mac app from https://desktopforyt.yilinglabs.com and open it once so macOS registers the app link.
