Read, search & bulk download YouTube transcripts from videos, Shorts, playlists & channels. Free, no account, any language. ScribeDock helps you read, search, save, and download YouTube transcripts from a side panel beside the video. Find a passage while watching, copy it into your notes, or keep the transcript in your Library for later. It’s free and requires no ScribeDock account. READ AND SEARCH WHILE YOU WATCH Open the available transcript without leaving the video. Search for a topic or phrase, read the surrounding explanation, and copy the text you need. Search handles differences in punctuation, spacing, accents, and small spelling mistakes in longer words. COLLECT MATERIAL FROM MULTIPLE VIDEOS Gather available transcripts from playlists and channels. Select individual videos directly on a channel page or choose a group, then scan your selection and download the results. Use “Download New Only” when returning for material you haven’t already saved. KEEP YOUR RESEARCH ORGANIZED Save transcripts to your local Library, organize them with tags and collections, and mark favorites. Return to saved material to read, search, copy, or download it again. This makes it easier to keep lecture notes together, collect interviews for research, or revisit explanations from tutorials. USE THE TEXT IN YOUR OWN WORK Copy passages into your notes or export a file for use in other applications. Choose text with timestamps when you need a reference to the video, or text without timestamps for reading and drafting. When multiple caption languages are available, choose the track you want to work with. LOCAL STORAGE Your saved Library is stored in your browser. ScribeDock does not upload transcript text to its own server. Downloads are created locally through the browser. AVAILABILITY ScribeDock works on supported YouTube videos, Shorts, playlists, and channel pages where caption or transcript data is accessible. It retrieves existing captions; it does not transcribe audio or generate missing captions. Availability and bulk requests depend on what YouTube allows. Add ScribeDock to Chrome and open it on a video with available captions to begin.
