Screen recorder for Chrome. Record screen, camera and audio, then keep the clip on your device. No account, no watermark. Screen Recorder captures your screen, your camera, or both together with audio. Your browser encodes the video on your own machine and writes it to your device. We run no server that could receive it. WHAT YOU CAN RECORD • A whole display, a single application window, or one browser tab • Your camera on its own, or overlaid on the screen recording • Your microphone, the audio playing on your screen, or both mixed together CONTROLS • Pause mid-take and carry on in the same clip • Record at 1080p, 720p, or your source resolution • Watch the file size climb while you record • Put the camera overlay in any corner, then set its shape and size • Switch between a light and a dark theme YOUR RECORDINGS STAY WITH YOU Your browser writes each clip to storage on the device you recorded from. The clip stays there until you download it or delete it. Nothing uploads. You need no account and no email address, and we hold no database that could store one. Your clips carry no watermark. We set no cap on recording length, so you can record until your disk fills up. If you clear your browser data, you lose any clip you have not downloaded. Download what you want to keep. PERMISSIONS The extension asks for screen capture when you press record, and for your camera or microphone when you pick one as a source. Chrome grants these, and you can revoke them in Chrome settings. Storage holds your device and window preferences between sessions. WORTH KNOWING System audio capture depends on your operating system. Chrome exposes it when you share a tab, and on Windows when you share a whole screen. macOS restricts it. Your microphone works in both cases. The extension saves your recordings as WebM with the VP9 codec. The file plays in any modern browser and imports into the major editors. Free, with no paid tier and no trial. You can also record from the browser at https://app.screenrecorder.is without installing anything.
