Correct full-page screenshots with a fully local editor, true redaction, and minimal permissions. SnapUpgrade takes full-page screenshots that are actually correct, then lets you annotate, redact and export them in an editor that runs entirely on your own machine. WHY IT IS DIFFERENT Most full-page screenshot tools scroll the document and paste the results together. That breaks on real sites: sticky headers get repeated down the image, lazy-loaded content shows up blank, and apps that scroll an inner element instead of the page produce a single screenful. SnapUpgrade finds the page's real scroll container, freezes sticky and fixed elements so they appear exactly once, pre-loads lazy content before capturing, and stitches every viewport at your display's true resolution. CAPTURE - Full page: the entire scroll length, seam-free - Visible area: just what is on screen - Region: drag out any rectangle - Element: hover and click a single element - All tabs: capture every open tab in the window in one pass - Keyboard shortcuts for full page, visible area and region - Every mode is also in the right-click menu - Infinite feeds stop at a screen-height cap you control, instead of scrolling forever EDIT - Arrow, rectangle, ellipse, line, freehand pen, text, highlighter, numbered step badges, crop and pan - Undo and redo, zoom, fit to view, actual size - True redaction: the pixels underneath are overwritten, so there is nothing left to recover - Blur is available but clearly labelled unsafe for text, because tools like Depix and Unredacter can reverse it - Auto-redact (optional): scans page text for email addresses, payment card numbers, phone numbers and JWT-style tokens, then applies real redaction before you even see the shot BEAUTIFY - Gradient, solid colour or subtle patterned backdrop - Padding, rounded corners, drop shadow - Optional browser window frame EXPORT - PNG, JPEG with a quality slider, or multi-page PDF - Copy straight to the clipboard - Captures too tall for a single image are split into numbered slices automatically PROVENANCE (optional, off by default) - SHA-256 hash of the untouched capture - Burned-in footer with the source URL, page title and UTC timestamp - JSON sidecar you can archive next to the image PRIVACY SnapUpgrade makes no network requests. Your captures and edits never leave your browser. There is no account, no cloud sync, no analytics, and no remote code. The extension requests no host permissions, so it has no standing access to any site: it only acts on the tab you explicitly point it at. A note on the permission warning: the tabs permission causes Chrome to display "Read your browsing history" on the install prompt. That wording is Chrome's. SnapUpgrade reads the current tab's URL and title only to refuse captures on protected browser pages, to label optional provenance exports, and to list tabs for the capture-all-tabs feature. Nothing is recorded, stored or transmitted.
