Instead, it helps you stay in the original text and ask for help only when you need it. Core features: - Sentence understanding panel: select a sentence or paragraph to see structured reading support. - Local sentence breakdown: get a fast visual structure before using AI. - AI help ladder: start with hints and concepts, then use translation only when needed. - Click dictionary: click a word to see explanation and translation. - Vocabulary review: only words you actively click are added to your vocabulary list. - Bilingual mode: keep automatic translation when you want a more assisted reading mode. - Explanation language: choose the language used for explanations. - Trial quota: free AI usage is limited by anonymous device ID. Why it is different: Most translation tools replace the reading task with translated text. Cognitive Read tries to preserve the reading process. It helps you understand the original sentence structure, concepts, and meaning, so you can gradually rely less on translation. Privacy: Cognitive Read only sends text for AI processing when you actively trigger an AI feature, such as explanation, translation, concept explanation, hint, or dictionary lookup. Settings, vocabulary, cache, and reading stats are stored locally in your browser.
