I created Private Typing Speed Tracker because I noticed something interesting: my typing speed during traditional typing tests was much slower than my speed while naturally working, writing, researching, or chatting online. Most typing tests measure performance under pressure. I wanted a tool that measured how I actually type during real everyday use.
