Shows live typing speed without storing or sharing data. I created Private Typing Speed Tracker because I noticed something interesting: my typing speed during traditional typing tests was much slower than my speed while naturally working, writing, researching, or chatting online. Most typing tests measure performance under pressure. I wanted a tool that measured how I actually type during real everyday use. Private Typing Speed Tracker quietly tracks your live WPM across websites while you work naturally — no typing tests, no forced prompts, and no interruptions. Features include: -Live WPM tracking -Smoothed average WPM -Estimated typing accuracy -Pause/resume tracking -Draggable overlay -Dark, light, and blue themes -Google Docs compatibility -Local-only processing for privacy Privacy First: Private Typing Speed Tracker does not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any user data. All typing calculations are processed locally within your browser session only. The extension does not record keystrokes, save typed content, monitor passwords, track browsing history, or communicate with external servers. No analytics, advertising trackers, or third-party data collection tools are used. Accuracy Notice Typing speed and accuracy values are intended as real-time estimates based on browser input activity. Because the extension prioritizes privacy and does not store or analyze actual typed content, measurements may not always perfectly reflect true typing performance in every situation, website, or editor.
