Toggle a floating countdown timer with a keyboard shortcut. Floating Timer puts a small countdown on top of whatever you’re looking at — slides, docs, a video call, or a webpage. Show or hide it with a shortcut, drag it where you want, and keep presenting. HOW TO USE • Press Ctrl+Shift+. (customizable) or click the extension icon to show or hide the timer • Drag the handle to reposition it • Click the time and type M:SS (for example 5:00 or 5:30) to set a duration • Use 2 min, 5 min, or 10 min presets when the timer is idle • Start, pause, and reset from the panel • While the timer is running, the panel stays compact so it doesn’t get in the way WHEN TIME IS UP — OR YOU NEED MORE • When the countdown finishes, add +1, +2, or +5 minutes and keep going • The same extend buttons appear when the timer is paused • Optional finish sounds: Chime, Bell, Beep, Soft, or Off WORKS DURING PRESENTATIONS The timer stays visible on top of Google Slides in slideshow mode, so you can keep time without leaving the deck. SETTINGS Open the extension popup to: • Switch dark or light theme • Choose a finish sound • Change the keyboard shortcut Your default duration is remembered for reset and new tabs. PRIVACY No accounts, analytics, or tracking. Timer settings stay in your browser. NOTES • The shortcut works when Chrome is focused • The timer cannot appear on chrome:// pages, the Chrome Web Store, or some PDF viewers • After a full page navigation, press the shortcut again — progress for that tab is kept What’s new (1.0.1) — use this in the release notes field if you have one: Light and dark themes, 2/5/10 minute presets, +1/+2/+5 extra time when paused or finished, compact controls while running, and selectable finish sounds.
