Increase volume to 600% on any tab without distortion. Free 10-band audio equalizer, limiter and per-site presets for video & music. Volume Booster & Equalizer is a volume booster extension that raises browser audio up to 600% and gives you precise control over the active tab. Use the 10-band equalizer, dedicated bass boost, limiter and eight per-tab presets to make videos, music, streams and other browser media easier to hear. More than a basic sound booster extension, it lets you shape the sound as well as increase the volume. All audio processing runs locally inside your browser. There is no account, no upload and no backend receiving your audio. WHAT YOU GET • Volume control from 0% to 600% for the active tab • A limiter that catches loud peaks after the gain stage and helps reduce clipping and distortion • A 10-band graphic equalizer covering 31 Hz to 16 kHz • Up to ±12 dB adjustment on every EQ band • A separate bass control with up to +12 dB boost • Eight per-tab presets: Flat, Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Voice, Movie, Music, Rock and Late Night • “Remember for this site” to restore your volume, EQ, bass and limiter settings on future visits • A reset button to return the tab to its normal sound HOW TO USE IT 1. Open a page that is playing video or audio. 2. Select Volume Booster & Equalizer from the Chrome toolbar. 3. Raise or lower the volume for that tab. 4. Choose a preset or open the 10-band EQ for finer control. 5. Keep the limiter enabled when using higher boost levels. 6. Turn on “Remember for this site” if you want the settings restored next time. LIMITER FOR HIGHER VOLUME Boosting a signal can push loud peaks beyond the normal output range. The built-in limiter sits after the volume gain so it can catch those peaks before output. It is enabled by default and helps keep high-volume playback more controlled. 10-BAND EQ AND BASS BOOST Adjust frequencies from deep bass at 31 Hz through high detail at 16 kHz. Use the dedicated bass shelf for additional low-end weight, or start with one of the included presets for speech, movies, music, rock and late-night listening. PER-TAB CONTROL, PER-SITE MEMORY Settings are applied to the tab you are controlling, so different tabs can use different volume and EQ choices. If you enable “Remember for this site,” the extension stores those settings locally and restores them when you return. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Audio is processed on your device using browser audio features. It is not uploaded to a server, and no account or sign-up is required. WHY DOES IT NEED SITE ACCESS? The extension needs access to page audio and video elements so it can process the media playing in the tab. When direct processing is not available, it can use Chrome’s tab-audio capture as a fallback. Local storage is used only for extension preferences and the site settings you choose to remember. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS Can it increase volume above the page’s normal maximum? Yes. The volume control goes up to 600%. Does it work separately on each tab? Yes. Open the extension on the tab you want to control. Presets and sound adjustments are applied to that tab. Can it remember my settings? Yes. Enable “Remember for this site” to save the current volume, EQ, bass and limiter settings locally for that website. Does my audio get uploaded? No. Audio processing stays inside the browser. Does it work on every page? It works with audio and video on normal web pages. Chrome internal pages cannot be modified, and some protected media may be unavailable depending on the platform. The extension shows a message when it cannot access a tab’s audio.
