Export AI chat conversations locally as Markdown, JSON, HTML, or an evidence ZIP. Chat Trail is a local-first browser extension for exporting AI chat conversations from the current tab. It supports ChatGPT, Claude, and generic AI-chat-like pages. Exports can be saved as Markdown, JSON, HTML, or an evidence ZIP with transcript files, metadata, hashes, a visible screenshot, and an HTML snapshot. Chat Trail does not use provider APIs, does not require API keys, does not crawl your account, and does not send chat content to a server. Extraction runs locally in your browser and is initiated by the user.
