Audits what permissions your installed extensions have and explains what it means, in plain English. Only reads, sends nothing. Every extension you install quietly gets permissions — and most people never see what they actually allow. "Read and change all your data on all websites" sounds harmless in an install prompt. It isn't always. PermCheck reads the list of your installed extensions and tells you, in plain English, what each one can actually do: • A clear verdict per extension — High / Some / Low access — worst first. • A one-line reason: "can read and change everything you do on all websites", "can read your cookies", "installed by another program — not by you". • For each permission: what it does, WHO legitimately needs it, and HOW it gets abused. • A change watch that flags when an extension gains new access after an update. • A "Copy report" button for sharing or documenting what you found. PermCheck measures potential access, not behaviour — it shows what an extension is allowed to do, not what it does. High access is often legitimate; the point is to make hidden access visible so you can decide who to trust. Privacy by design: one read-only permission, no network calls, no telemetry, nothing ever leaves your computer. Open source. Built by Baseline Security.
