Search and analyze browser history with full-text search, sessions and time insights—all stored locally on your device. Better Browser History is a private browser history search and analytics extension for Chrome. It replaces Chrome’s History page with a fast local workspace for finding pages, revisiting browsing sessions, and understanding where your measured active time goes. Search beyond titles and URLs. When you enable page-content capture, full-text search can find a page using words you remember reading on it. Repeat visits are grouped, while sessions and journeys reconnect related pages. Data is stored locally in your browser profile. There is no account, cloud history service, advertising, telemetry, or remotely hosted executable code. You can pause capture, exclude websites, disable page-content or engagement capture, export your data, or erase everything at any time. Better Browser History replaces only Chrome’s History page. It does not change New Tab, your homepage, startup pages, bookmarks, or search engine. Chrome-protected pages cannot be captured. Active-time analytics use measured foreground, non-idle activity and show measurement coverage instead of estimating missing time.
