Automatically organizes downloads by file type. Why I Built This : - I created Download Organizer because I was tired of my own Downloads folder constantly becoming a black hole. Every time I downloaded a PDF, a photo, or a zip file, it would just sit in one giant, messy list. I found myself wasting several minutes every day just searching for a file I had downloaded only an hour before. I tried organizing it manually, but it was a chore that I eventually stopped doing. I realized there had to be a better way to automate this frustration away. The Solution :- This extension is the result of that frustration. It is a lightweight tool that does the work for me. The moment I click download, the extension catches the file and puts it exactly where it belongs. My Downloads folder is now always clean, and I never have to manually move a file again. What it Does for You :- Instant Organization :- It recognizes over 100 different file types. If you download an image, it goes to a Photos folder. If it is a PDF, it goes to Documents. It happens instantly, so you do not even have to think about it. Keyword Sorting :- I often download things like invoices or resumes. I programmed this extension to look for those specific words in a filename and move them into their own folders automatically. You can turn this on to handle your specific workflow. Sort by Website :- Sometimes I want to keep all my downloads from a specific site in one place. This feature creates a folder named after the website so your project files never get mixed up with your personal ones. Simple and Private :- I built this with a set it and forget it mindset. It runs in the background and has a simple menu to turn features on or off. Most importantly, I built this to be private. Everything happens on your computer. Nothing is ever sent to a server, and I do not track your downloads. I hope this extension helps you save as much time as it has saved me.
