Shows upload date on YouTube Shorts — hover thumbnails for a tooltip or see it as a badge while watching YouTube hides upload dates on Shorts. The date is technically buried in the description panel, but opening that just to find a date is inconvenient. YouTube Shorts Upload Date shows the upload date as a tooltip when you hover any Shorts thumbnail — on the homepage, channel pages, search, and subscriptions — and as a badge in the Shorts player while you're watching. Dates appear in a clear format: "3 days ago (Jun 5, 2026)", and they're prefetched as you browse and scroll, so they show up instantly instead of after a loading delay. The tooltip can optionally auto-hide after a delay you choose. No accounts, no tracking, no data collection — the extension only talks to YouTube, and your settings stay on your machine. Without this extension, there is no quick way to know if a Short is from yesterday or two years ago. Install it if you want to judge how current a video is before or while watching.
