Reelief adds a brief, dismissable pause before short-form video feeds load — YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and Facebook Reels — so scrolling becomes a choice instead of a reflex. Short-form feeds are built to bypass conscious decision-making. You open one to check a single video and resurface 40 minutes later without ever choosing to stay. Reelief doesn't block the platforms you use — it just interrupts the automatic part. HOW IT WORKS - Friction mode (default): a brief pause before a Shorts/Reels feed loads, with a "Continue anyway" or "Not now — go back" choice. Nothing is off-limits, the reflex is just interrupted. - Block mode: turns you around at the door instead, for when a pause isn't enough. - An optional recurring reminder re-shows the pause after N minutes of continuous watching in one sitting, so a "quick check" doesn't quietly become an hour. WHAT YOU SEE The popup shows today's opens and time spent per platform, plus a 30-day trend so you can see the pattern, not just the moment. PRIVACY Reelief has no account, no sync, and no server.
