Shows the IMDb rating — and optionally the number of votes — right next to every IMDb link on any page. Rating Bubbles for IMDb shows you how a film or series is rated before you click. Wherever an IMDb link appears — a forum post, a blog, a chat log, a release listing — a small bubble with the rating appears right next to it. WHAT IT DOES • Works with any IMDb title link, whether the link text is the URL itself or just the movie name. • Also recognises bare IMDb IDs and pasted URLs in plain text, including inside code blocks — where release information usually lives. • Optionally shows the number of votes and the release year. • Four bubble styles, four separators, two sizes, placement before or after the link. • Ratings load only when a bubble scrolls into view and are cached for a week, so browsing stays fast. • Switch it off for individual sites from the toolbar popup, or keep a list of sites to leave alone. PRIVACY No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. The only outbound request is the IMDb title page needed to read the rating. If you enter an optional OMDb API key in the settings, that request goes to omdbapi.com instead. Nothing else ever leaves your browser. WHY IT ASKS FOR ACCESS TO ALL WEBSITES An IMDb link can turn up on any page, so the extension has to be able to look at the pages you visit in order to find them. It only reads links and text — page content is never sent anywhere. GOOD TO KNOW IMDb has no public API, so ratings are read from the public IMDb title page. IMDb occasionally challenges automated requests, which shows up as a "!" bubble; a reload usually fixes it. A free OMDb API key (omdbapi.com, 1,000 requests per day) avoids this entirely.
