Spot local, test, staging, and preview tabs instantly with custom URL labels, regex captures, ticket links, and tab groups. Know which environment you are in before you click. Label Env Tabs makes look-alike local, test, staging, preview, and production pages easy to distinguish. Create private URL rules, then show a colored badge or Corner Triangle and an optional viewport border on every matching page. WHY IT HELPS • Prevent accidental work in the wrong environment • See the current context at a glance • Keep related tabs together with optional native Chrome tab groups • Hide a page highlight instantly with a customizable keyboard shortcut POWERFUL URL RULES • Match complete URLs with simple globs or regular expressions • Add multiple include and exclude Matchers to one Label • Order Labels with drag and drop—first match wins • Test any URL before saving and see exactly which rule wins BRANCH AND TICKET WORKFLOWS Capture values such as a branch or ticket number from a regular expression. Reuse the captured value in the page Label, native tab-group title, and an optional HTTPS ticket link. MAKE EVERY SIGNAL YOURS Choose curated or custom colors, text color, position, opacity, size, border, badge or Corner Triangle, animation, and hover behavior. Labels can be enabled or disabled without deleting their setup. PORTABLE AND LOCAL BY DESIGN Export every Label or choose only the Labels you want to share. Import them later from validated JSON. Label Env Tabs has no account, analytics, ads, remote code, or backend. Configuration and URL matching stay in your browser. MINIMUM ACCESS, YOUR CHOICE The extension installs without broad website access. Automatic Grouping Access and Page Highlight Access are requested separately and can be revoked independently. Grouping can use tab URLs but cannot read page content. Page access is needed only to draw markers and borders. Chrome cannot directly recolor an individual tab. Label Env Tabs uses Chrome's supported native tab groups when grouping is enabled.
