Description
Connects the Jitan Translate desktop app to supported browser meetings for translated speech audio. Jitan Translate Meeting Audio is a companion Chrome extension for the Jitan Translate desktop app. It connects supported browser-based meeting pages, including Google Meet, Zoom Web App, and Microsoft Teams Web, to the local Jitan Translate desktop app. When meeting read-aloud output is enabled in the Jitan Translate desktop app, finalized translated speech audio can be routed into the active meeting as microphone audio. This extension does not provide standalone translation, speech recognition, text-to-speech, authentication, or usage management. These features are handled by the Jitan Translate desktop app and the Jitan Translate service. When the desktop app is not connected, or when the meeting audio feature is disabled, the extension restores the normal microphone path. Privacy and data handling: This extension is used only to connect supported browser-based meeting pages with the local Jitan Translate desktop app for meeting audio routing. It does not sell user data, does not use user data for advertising or profiling, and does not transmit meeting audio, captions, or meeting content to third-party advertising or analytics services. The extension processes only the minimum technical information required for this purpose, such as supported meeting page state, extension settings, local connection status, and audio routing status.
