Save references from your browser to the local Hongdou desktop app Hongdou Connector is the browser companion for the Hongdou desktop application. When you view a scholarly article, book, web page, or PDF, it can recognize bibliographic information such as the title, authors, publication, date, and DOI, then save the reference and available attachments to your local Hongdou library. Key features: • Recognize and save references with one click on supported research websites. • Save articles, books, web pages, PDFs, snapshots, and selected text. • Download available attachments selected as part of the save action. • Choose a destination collection and add tags or notes before saving. • Start a save from the toolbar button or the page context menu. • Communicate with the Hongdou desktop application on the same computer. Hongdou Connector requires the Hongdou desktop application to be installed and running. If the local application is unavailable, the save stops. The extension does not fall back to an online library or upload the page to a Hongdou server. To recognize saveable content across publisher, library, and research websites, the extension needs access to the pages you visit. Page content and URLs are processed only to detect and complete the save workflow. Cookies for the source website may be used temporarily when required to retrieve an attachment selected by the user. The extension does not retain those cookies or send them to Hongdou-operated servers. Privacy Policy: https://www.nehongdou.com/privacy/hongdou-connector/en/
