Temporarily or indefinitely pause supported search-result pages while direct websites stay available. Browser Manager helps you temporarily or indefinitely step away from supported search-result pages while keeping ordinary direct websites available. With Direct Website Mode, you can choose: • Until a Date — Select a future local date and time. The ending is fixed and does not extend when you search, refresh, restart Chrome, sleep your computer, or move between locations. • Indefinite — Keep supported search-result pages unavailable without an automatic end. Browser Manager clearly warns you before this mode is enabled. SAFE LOCATIONS AND LOCK LOCATIONS • Safe Locations temporarily suspend supported search-route blocking after Browser Manager reliably confirms that you are inside the saved area. • Lock Locations keep blocking active, take priority over overlapping Safe Locations, and can refuse attempts to weaken an active mode. • Locations can be added using your current device location or a matched U.S. street address. • Browser Manager does not impose a fixed number of Safe Locations or Lock Locations. The practical limit is Chrome extension-storage capacity and browser performance. WEBSITE SHELF Browser Manager includes a Website Shelf where you can save direct website links you want to visit. You can add, edit, reorder, remove, and open these links in every mode. The Website Shelf does not create an exception to blocking. It is simply a convenient list of direct websites. BROWSER MANAGER PROTECTION Browser Manager Protection is separate from Direct Website Mode. If you choose to lock Browser Manager Protection, the current Direct Website Mode configuration becomes permanently frozen within the extension interface. After protection is locked: • The active mode and finite ending time cannot be changed. • There is no in-extension unlock action. • Existing Lock Locations cannot be removed, moved, or reduced. • New Lock Locations and stricter radius increases remain allowed. • Safe Locations and Website Shelf items remain editable. • A finite mode still ends automatically at its original ending time. SUPPORTED SEARCH SCOPE Browser Manager currently blocks only a narrow, explicit set of supported top-level Google, Bing, and DuckDuckGo search-result routes. It does not claim to block every search provider, browser suggestion, localized Google domain, site-specific search form, browser-internal page, or request outside its documented route list. PRIVACY • No developer backend • No accounts • No advertising • No analytics or telemetry • No search-query history • No browsing-history collection • No page-content inspection • No remote code Saved settings, locations, and Website Shelf links stay in the current Chrome profile. Current-location detection uses browser and operating-system geolocation services. When you explicitly search a U.S. street address, the typed address is sent directly to the U.S. Census Geocoder to obtain coordinates. Browser Manager does not send the address or coordinates to a developer-operated server and does not persist the original search query. Browser Manager is self-control software, not administrator-level, operating-system, or cryptographic protection. Someone who controls the Chrome profile can disable or remove the extension, clear its data, or alter the extension.
