Local-first controls for reducing engagement-bait noise on X.com. Debait filters engagement-bait patterns on X using configurable local heuristics and optional LLM-assisted account analysis. It scores posts and accounts across dimensions such as: - Questions - Videos - Polls - Engagement language - Template repetition - Polarization - Posting frequency - Low substance You control the weight of each dimension and the filtering threshold. Matching posts are hidden locally in your browser. Debait does not mute, block, follow, unfollow, report, or modify your X account. Optional LLM analysis uses the provider and API key configured by you. Requests go directly from your browser to that provider. Debait does not operate a backend and does not receive your API key. Privacy: - No telemetry - No analytics - No Debait-operated backend - No Debait-side account data collection - API key stored locally and encrypted at rest - Local filtering state stays in your browser This is engagement-pattern filtering, not content moderation.
