Detect writing bias in news articles using a locally trained machine learning model. BiasLens analyzes news articles for political bias and sentiment directly in your browser using a machine learning model trained on thousands of labeled sentences. No article text is ever sent to a server — all processing happens on your device. HOW IT WORKS Open any news article and click the BiasLens icon. The extension scores each paragraph for bias (0–100) and calculates the overall sentiment direction of the piece based on the nouns, adjectives, and verbs used. The ML model runs entirely within your browser. The only data stored locally is your auto-highlight preference and your list of allowed sites — both stay on your device and are never transmitted anywhere. Works on major English-language news sites. Auto-highlight can be enabled for any site you choose.
