Shows every price on the web as hours of your life. ``` Hours rewrites every price you see online into the time it costs you to earn it. A €79.95 coat stops being €79.95. It becomes 5h 46m of work. A €1,299 sofa becomes 11 days. You cannot unsee it, and that is the point. HOW IT WORKS Tell it what you take home each month and how many hours you work. That's it — two numbers, fifteen seconds. Every price on every shop you visit is then shown in hours, days or months of work, with the original price kept small and grey beside it so you can still actually shop. TWO WAYS TO COUNT Simple mode divides your take-home pay by the hours you work. Real mode is the honest one. It subtracts what you have to spend just to exist — rent, bills, transport, food — and divides by every hour work takes from you, commute and getting ready included. For most people the real number is a third of the simple one. On €2,400 take-home with €1,500 of fixed costs, Simple says €13.85 an hour. Real says €4.62. That coat goes from 5h 46m to two full days. THE BASKET CARD At checkout, a card tells you what the whole basket costs in working time. It shows the time only — never your salary, never your hourly rate — so you can screenshot it without telling the world what you earn. WORKS EVERYWHERE 39 currencies, converted automatically. Prices in dollars, pounds, dirhams, rupees, yen, zloty or riyals are all converted into what you're paid in before being turned into hours, so a US site and a UAE site give you the same answer for the same jacket. PRIVATE BY DESIGN There is no server. No account. No analytics. No network requests at all. Your salary is stored on your own computer and never leaves your browser.
