A fast, private and customizable new tab for shortcuts, themes, search and optional weather. No account required. A calmer and faster way to start browsing Mist replaces your default new tab with a lightweight and customizable start page. Organize your favorite websites into shortcut groups, use your existing Chrome search engine, and customize the appearance without creating an account. Main features - Search with your existing Chrome search engine - Organize shortcuts into local groups with drag and drop - Choose from lightweight color modes and illustrated premium themes - See the time, date, greeting, and optional current weather - Import or export your configuration as JSON - Send optional bug reports or feature suggestions from Mist - Keep your preferences locally in your browser Private by design Weather can use a city or postal code you enter, or an approximate IP-based city. It never requests precise browser geolocation, and the weather feature can be disabled at any time. Shortcut icons are loaded through Google's favicon service. Only the shortcut domain and normal connection information are sent for this visible shortcut feature; shortcut labels and other Mist preferences are not sent. Mist contains no ads, analytics, or accounts. The optional feedback form contacts a developer-operated Netlify endpoint only when you choose to submit a message.
