Inject your saved context profile into any AI conversation. ContextKit is a productivity extension that allows users to save a professional context profile and inject it into AI tool conversations with one click. Core functionality: When a user visits Claude.ai, ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini, a small floating panel appears in the bottom-right corner of the page. The user clicks the panel, selects their active profile, and clicks "Inject Context." The extension copies their saved profile text to the clipboard and displays a confirmation banner. The user pastes the context at the start of their AI conversation. Profile management: Users create and manage their context profiles at contextkit.app. Each profile contains four fields: a personal/professional summary, current project description, working constraints, and AI response preferences. Users can maintain multiple profiles and switch between them instantly. Authentication: The extension authenticates with the ContextKit web app using a token the user generates in their account settings. The token is stored locally using chrome.storage.local. Permissions used: — storage: stores the user's authentication token and UI preferences locally on their device — activeTab: used to inject the floating context panel into the current tab — Host permissions for claude.ai, chat.openai.com, perplexity.ai, gemini.google.com: required to inject the floating panel UI into these specific pages Privacy: The extension does not read, extract, or transmit any page content or conversation data. It operates on an inject-only basis. No browsing history or chat content is collected at any point.
