Transform every new tab into a personalized workspace — or open another destination you explicitly choose. The extension lets you select one of three New Tab experiences: - A customizable dashboard hosted at https://newtabs.page - A supported Chrome page, such as Downloads, History, Bookmarks, Extensions, or Settings - Any custom http:// or https:// URL Personalized dashboard The dashboard at newtabs.page includes: - Beautiful light, dark, and image backgrounds - Multiple customizable workspaces - Clock and date controls - Weather information - Web search with selectable providers - Website shortcuts and bookmarks - Focus sessions and timers - Quick notes - Lightweight task management - Zen mode Keyboard shortcuts - Custom fonts, layouts, icon sizes, and appearance settings - Your dashboard settings are stored locally in your browser. - Simple and transparent - Nothing is selected automatically. After installing the extension, you choose exactly what should open in every new tab. The extension requests only the storage permission, which is used to remember your selected New Tab destination. It does not request access to your browsing history, open tabs, website content, searches, or precise location. The personalized dashboard is an external web application hosted at newtabs.page. Search requests are sent only after you submit them to your selected search provider. You can change your destination at any time from the extension’s Options page.
