Adds relevant Wikipedia context beside Google Search, with reading mode, Random Article, and a ten-click Wikirace challenge. GooWi adds relevant Wikipedia context beside Google Search results without replacing either service. When a Google search has a sufficiently relevant Wikipedia match, GooWi displays a concise Wikipedia companion alongside the search results. It is designed to provide encyclopedic context while preserving Google for search and Wikipedia as the destination for full articles. Features include: • Contextually relevant Wikipedia previews beside Google Search • Conservative relevance filtering that favors no result over a misleading one • Wikipedia-assisted spelling correction for likely typos • Wikipedia disambiguation pages for genuinely ambiguous searches • Wikipedia hatnotes and clarification links • Representative article images • Internal Wikipedia navigation that leaves the underlying Google search unchanged • Random Article • Expanded reading mode • Wikirace with a 10-click initial challenge and optional overtime • Responsive desktop and half-screen layouts • Light and dark appearance support Privacy: GooWi has no analytics, advertising, telemetry, user accounts, persistent identifiers, or developer-operated backend. To provide its primary feature, the current Google search term is sent directly to Wikipedia so Wikipedia can return relevant encyclopedia content. The developer does not receive or retain users’ search terms through GooWi.
