Protect your organization from data leaks to AI chatbots top sensitive data from leaking into AI chatbots. Containment AI is an enterprise DLP extension that sits in your browser and evaluates every prompt you're about to submit to AI chat assistants — in real time, before it reaches the AI provider. When a message contains data your organization has classified as sensitive (PII, secrets, internal identifiers, source code you haven't cleared), the extension blocks the submission and tells you exactly why. It works across the major AI chat assistants, including ChatGPT and Claude. How it works: your IT admin configures policies in the Containment AI dashboard. This extension pulls your organization's policy configuration to your device. When you submit a prompt on a monitored AI site, the extension sends the prompt text over an encrypted connection to Containment AI's policy-check service, which evaluates it against your organization's policies and returns an allow/block decision before the prompt reaches the AI provider. The policy check does not store your prompt; when a policy violation is detected, alert metadata (policy name, severity, violation message, and the matched term or pattern) is recorded for review by your organization's administrators. For IT and security teams: configurable via Chrome Enterprise managed storage schema. Deploy at scale via group policy or MDM. Pairs with the Containment.AI governance dashboard for audit logs, policy management, and compliance reporting (SOC 2, GDPR, EU AI Act Article 12). Privacy-first design: - Prompt content is transmitted only to Containment AI's policy-check service, over TLS, solely to evaluate it against your organization's policies — never to advertisers or data brokers. - Full prompt content is not stored by the policy check; only violation alert metadata is retained for your organization's audit log. - Sessions stored in chrome.storage.local (per-device, not synced). - Fail-closed defaults — unauthenticated or misconfigured = blocked, not permitted. - Source code available under proprietary-evaluation license.
