Highlight or click anything in a PDF or on a web page to get it explained, summarized or quizzed. Understand any PDF or web page, one highlight at a time. PDF WORKSTATION • Open a PDF and highlight any passage for a summary, a plain-language explanation or a quick quiz, right beside the page. • Click a single word, a variable in an equation or part of a figure, and Claude explains exactly that spot in context. • Summarize or quiz yourself on the whole document. ON ANY WEB PAGE • Press Alt+Shift+D (or click the DocDesk button → "Explain things on this page"), then click anything or highlight text. Answers open in the side panel. • Switch on "Always on" to get the highlight toolbar on every site, and Alt+click anything to explain it. • Or right-click selected text → DocDesk → Explain / Summarize / Quiz me. STUDY TOOLS • Quizzes give instant feedback and end with a short-answer question that Claude grades. • Ask follow-up questions on any answer ("explain it more simply"). • Everything is saved with the document or page, in your browser. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Uses your own Anthropic API key. There's no DocDesk server and no tracking. • Your files stay in your browser. Only the parts you ask about are sent to Anthropic. Requires an Anthropic API key (console.anthropic.com). Usage is billed by Anthropic to your account, typically a few cents per document. By Liam Hall. Support: docdesk.support@gmail.com
