Reviews sparse text changes in Azure DevOps files that are too large for the built-in pull request diff. Azure DevOps Focused Large Diff helps reviewers inspect sparse text changes when the built-in Azure DevOps pull request viewer cannot render a very large file. OPEN THE CHANGE, NOT THE WHOLE FILE Large generated or configuration files can exceed the browser diff viewer's rendering limit even when a pull request changes only one or two lines. This extension adds a Review large diff button to Azure DevOps pull request file pages. Select the file, open the focused view, and review only the changed hunks plus nearby context. WHAT IT DOES Focused inline diffs. The extension compares the selected file at the pull request merge base and source commit, skips identical leading and trailing lines, and renders compact inline hunks with old and new line numbers. Designed for sparse changes. A bounded Myers diff runs in the extension's background service worker, keeping the Azure DevOps page responsive. Dense or unsupported changes fail safely instead of freezing the tab. Native Azure DevOps appearance. The review window follows the host page's typography, colors, diff gutters, spacing, light/dark theme, keyboard focus, and reduced-motion preference. Read-only Azure DevOps access. The extension uses the signed-in browser session to make same-origin GET requests to Azure DevOps Git APIs. It never creates comments, updates pull requests, changes files, or writes repository data. Safety limits. Only UTF-8 text is supported. Binary files are rejected. Each file version is limited to 32 MB, and diff complexity is bounded. OFFLINE DEMO Choose the extension's toolbar icon and open the packaged offline demo to see the focused inline review without connecting to an Azure DevOps organization. PRIVACY All source text and diff processing stays in browser memory. The extension has no backend, analytics, advertising, tracking, cloud storage, or third-party network dependency. It does not request or store a personal access token. Closing the dialog, navigating away, or closing the tab discards the file content and computed diff.
