ClickNix locally scans web content and identifies matching threat detections. ClickNix (Beta) stops ClickFix attacks before they can run, and helps protect other users by flagging compromised sites. BETA RELEASE Please report potential issues via the support hub. WHAT IT DOES • Blocks ClickFix attacks in your browser and warns you about the danger. • Reports newly compromised sites to a shared database, so a community of defenders can protect other users and notify site owners. WHY CHROME SHOWS PERMISSION WARNINGS When you install ClickNix, Chrome warns that it can read and change data on all websites and read your browsing history. This is normal for security extensions. • A ClickFix attack can appear on any website, even a trusted one that was recently hacked, so ClickNix checks every page you open. • It loads as soon as a page starts, before an attack has a chance to run. • It watches page activity so it can step in and warn you. • The notifications permission lets it alert you when it blocks a threat. YOUR PRIVACY Pages are scanned locally in your browser. When ClickNix detects a ClickFix attack, it reports the compromised site to the community database. Your browsing data is never sold or used for anything else.
