Wisdom New Tab replaces your new tab with a single passage drawn from more than ten thousand lines of philosophy, scripture and literature — Marcus Aurelius, Lao Tzu, Rumi, Seneca, the Tao Te Ching, Proverbs — and puts nothing else in your way. Most new tab pages add something to your day. This one is built to take something away. ONE PASSAGE, EVERY TAB Over 10,000 quotes, each shown with its author and source. A new one each tab. Save the ones that land and keep them. A DAY THAT ASKS YOU SOMETHING One question in the morning: what would make today great? One in the evening: what's the honest verdict? The evening question stays locked until 6pm, because a day shouldn't be graded before it's been lived — and what you wrote in the morning stays on screen all day, not just until dinner. BUILD THE PAGE YOU WANT Click the 6/8 mark for all of it: - Four accent palettes: Obsidian, Nebula, Ember, Signal - Three layouts: Sanctuary, Dawn, Editorial - One to four columns - Turn any panel on or off. Turn them all off and you are left with a quote and nothing else. - Search in the centre, tucked in the corner, or gone entirely - A soft light that follows your cursor, if you like it Every choice is remembered and applied before the page paints, so a new tab never flickers into your settings. Each takes over the tab, then hands it back. A GUARD FOR YOUR ATTENTION (optional, off by default) Turn it on and choose your sites. After ten minutes, a figure from the wisdom tradition takes the screen and holds it for five, with something worth reading while you wait. Twenty-seven figures to meet, some far rarer than others. It never asks for access to any site unless you switch it on. PRIVACY, PLAINLY Everything stays on your device. No account. No sign-in. No server. No analytics. No tracking. Nothing to opt out of, because there is nothing collecting. The only request this extension makes is the search you type yourself. And what you burn is never written down.
