A simplified YouTube experience — just the video, the title, and a search bar. YTSimple strips YouTube down to what matters: the video. No comments. No recommendations. No sidebar. No autoplay. Just you and the content you chose to watch. **What it does:** Replaces the homepage with a clean, centered search bar with live autocomplete suggestions. Centers the video player on watch pages with the title displayed above it. Hides all distractions: ads, comments, recommendations, description, end cards, live chat, merch shelves. Removes channel banners and tab bars for a cleaner channel browsing experience. Redirects YouTube Shorts to regular video pages automatically. Provides a custom masthead with search that hides automatically and reveals when you hover near the top. Floating action buttons in the bottom right corner give you quick access to notifications, subscriptions, and account settings. Simple on/off toggle from the extension popup that reloads the page instantly. **Design:** Dark theme that matches YouTube's dark mode. Smooth animations and transitions. Rounded video player corners. Video is vertically centered on the page for a focused viewing experience. Theater and fullscreen modes work normally. **Privacy:** No data collection. No external servers. No analytics or tracking. All processing happens locally in your browser.
