Saves an article to BuRead, builds a lesson from a subtitled video and marks the words you do not know right on the page. BuRead is a reader for learning a language: articles, books, PDFs and subtitled video in one place, with a vocabulary that grows out of what you actually read. This extension is the way pages get from your browser into it. WHAT IT DOES Save the page you are reading. One click sends the article to your BuRead library. The popup shows what you are about to save: the site, the reading time, and the share of words you do not know yet. Turn a YouTube video into a lesson. On a video page the extension collects the subtitles and builds a lesson from them: the transcript becomes a text you can read line by line, with every word tappable. Read right where you are. Learn mode marks the words on the current page by their status in your vocabulary: new, learning, known. Tap a word for its meaning in this sentence, hear it pronounced, ask for an explanation in context, and set how well you know it. Nothing leaves the page. Keep one vocabulary everywhere. Words you mark here are the same words you review in BuRead on the web and on iPhone. HOW IT WORKS Sign in with your BuRead account or with an extension key from Settings. The extension sends only what you ask it to: the address and HTML of a page when you press Save, the subtitles of a video when you build a lesson, and a word with its sentence when you tap it. It does not read your browsing history and does not touch your YouTube cookies. BuRead is free. Reading, vocabulary and review cost nothing.
