Local video enhancement with explicit opt-in on the selected site. AniLens makes anime and animation video clearer while you watch it in the browser. It is designed for line art, gradients and compressed video that can look soft or blocky when enlarged to a big screen. Anime4K Quality is selected by default. It gives most shows a useful balance between cleaner lines, controlled sharpening and smooth playback. Other modes are available for weaker hardware, low-bitrate sources and scenes that need stronger restoration. What you can adjust: • Anime4K presets for performance, balanced viewing and maximum shader quality • dedicated modes for sharp line art, gradients and compression repair • enhancement strength and maximum output resolution • Frame Blend and RIFE motion smoothing on compatible devices • a quick original/processed comparison • separate settings for each website • local performance diagnostics • the Alt + Shift + A shortcut to enable or disable processing Processing happens locally on your device. AniLens does not upload video frames, browsing history or extension settings to an external service. Required processing components are included with the extension rather than downloaded from a CDN. AniLens does not bypass DRM. Protected players and videos that do not allow safe pixel access may be unsupported. AI restoration and RIFE are demanding features; their speed depends on the source resolution and your graphics hardware. The difference is usually easiest to see on 360p–720p animation displayed at a larger size. On a clean 1080p source, the result is intentionally more subtle so the picture does not look over-sharpened.
