Sync videos from your browser tab with your WatchParty room using your own account and active session. Watch videos together while keeping playback in your own browser tab. WatchParty Together connects a selected video page to your WatchParty room and coordinates play, pause and playback position. Click the extension icon to open WatchParty, then create or join a room and choose a browser video source. Keep the room tab open while watching. Click the WatchParty badge on the video page to return to your room, or use Stop syncing to disconnect the extension. Stopping sync does not leave the room or stop the website’s video. Each participant uses their own account and access to the original video service. Any required subscriptions remain separate. The extension does not download videos, provide subscriptions, or bypass access restrictions or DRM. Compatibility depends on the website and its video player; not every page or embedded player supports synchronization. When enabled from WatchParty, automatic discovery finds video sources on eligible active pages and shows the results in your room. Signed or session-bound media references remain in the original page; the extension returns that page’s public address instead. The extension handles selected page addresses, titles, video-source metadata and playback activity for discovery and synchronization. It stores the linked tab identifiers and source origin in temporary browser session storage. Closing the room connection or its app tab stops observation and discovery. Moving the selected video tab to a different site also disconnects it; reopen the intended source from the room after signing in.
