Read a product page and compare available prices on PriceCannon. You are on a product page and about to buy. Open PriceCannon, press Continue, and the details of what you are looking at are carried across to PriceCannon, where we look for the same item cheaper. HOW IT WORKS 1. You are on a product page at any online shop. 2. You open PriceCannon from the toolbar and press Continue to PriceCannon. 3. The details are read out of the page and filled into a PriceCannon form: title, brand, model, barcode, part number, the variant you are looking at, and the price the shop is showing. 4. You check the details. The extension marks anything it was unsure about, so you can correct it before anything is searched. Nothing is searched until you press the button. 5. You press Search, and we show every shop we can find selling the same item, cheapest total first, with delivery and stock included. WHY IT EXISTS PriceCannon already works without the extension: paste a product link on the website and we read the page for you. For a lot of European retail that does not work. Many shops refuse requests that do not come from a real browser, and some serve an empty page to anything that looks automated. You are already on the page, in a real browser. Reading it there is the honest way around that. WHAT IT READS, AND WHEN Nothing happens until you open the extension and press Continue. We never receive the page. No HTML, and no complete block of the shop's own product data, ever leaves your browser. The extension picks out the individual details and passes only those. These are the details it passes, and there are no others: - the product title, brand, model, and the shop's own product code - the barcode, where the page has one - the variant you are looking at, such as the colour or the size - the price and the currency the shop is showing - where on the page each of those was found, and which of them it was unsure about It never reads any other tab, and nothing at all about your browsing. The details land in the PriceCannon page in front of you, where you can correct anything it got wrong. Importing them starts no search. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO - No background crawling. It does not visit pages on its own. - No price history built from your browsing. - No account, no sign-up, no email required. - No analytics of its own. MATCHING Products are matched on EAN, UPC, GTIN or the manufacturer part number. Matching on a product code is what stops a comparison turning into ten different items with similar names. Where we only have a name, we say so on the result, so you can check the match yourself. WHAT IT COSTS Nothing. PriceCannon does not sell these products. We list the prices merchants publish and send you to the merchant to buy. Some links earn us a commission, and a link never moves up the list because of it. The cheapest total wins the top row and nothing can buy that position.
