Firefox-style local proxy setting: toggle a SOCKS/HTTP proxy with one click. Proxy Switch brings Firefox's simple manual proxy settings to Chrome. Chrome normally uses your system proxy settings and offers no built-in way to set a browser-only proxy. Proxy Switch fixes that with a minimal popup: Features SOCKS5, SOCKS4 and HTTP proxy support One-click Enable / Disable toggle "ON" badge on the toolbar icon so you always know when the proxy is active Bypass list for hosts that should connect directly (e.g. localhost) Settings are remembered between sessions With SOCKS5, DNS queries are resolved through the proxy (no DNS leaks) Privacy No data collection, no analytics, no external servers Works entirely offline — your proxy settings never leave your browser Only two permissions: proxy (to apply the setting you enter) and storage (to remember it) Typical uses Routing traffic through an SSH tunnel (ssh -D 1080 …) Reaching internal or lab networks through a jump host Testing web apps behind a local proxy (Burp, mitmproxy, Charles) Open the popup, enter host and port, click Enable. Click Disable to return to system proxy settings. That's it.
