Adds a Spotify button to the YouTube player that searches Spotify for the current video title. 🎵 Listening to a track on YouTube and want to hear it on Spotify? Youtify puts a button right into the YouTube player controls. One click — and Spotify search opens with the song you're watching. ▶️ HOW IT WORKS • 🟢 A Spotify button appears in the player's right-hand controls, next to the settings gear. • 🔍 Click it, and Spotify search opens in a new tab, pre-filled with the video title. • 🌐 Works on youtube.com, m.youtube.com and music.youtube.com. • ⚡ Survives YouTube's in-page navigation — the button is there on every video, no reloads needed. 🧹 SMART TITLE CLEANUP YouTube titles are rarely just the song name, so Youtify strips the noise before searching: • 🏷️ Bracketed tags — (Official Video), [HD], (Lyric Video), (официальный клип) • 💬 Bare phrases — "Official Music Video", "Audio Only", "Remastered" • ✂️ Trailing label or channel suffixes — "| Peaceville" • 🇯🇵 Japanese lenticular brackets 【…】, which hold genre and circle tags rather than the title ✨ So "【東方ヴォーカルPV】Bad Apple!! (Official Music Video) | Alstroemeria Records" is searched as simply "Bad Apple!!". 🔒 PRIVACY • 🚫 Requests no Chrome permissions at all — it only runs on YouTube pages. • 👤 No account, no sign-in, no tracking, no analytics, no external servers. • 📭 Nothing is collected, stored or transmitted.
