Checks whether an AI's Quran citations exist and match the real Arabic text. Reference validity only, no tafsir or hadith yet. Ground Truth checks whether an AI chatbot's Quran citation is actually correct - before you take its word for it. When you ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, Perplexity, Meta AI, or Google's AI Mode a question and it quotes a Quran verse, Ground Truth checks the citation automatically and marks it right there in the response: • Green - the reference exists and the Arabic text matches • Red - the reference doesn't exist (e.g. "Quran 2:290" when Al-Baqarah only has 286 verses) • Amber - something sharper: a real verse cited under the wrong number, or wording that can't be confidently confirmed If a hadith's wording is quoted nearby, Ground Truth checks that phrasing against HadeethEnc's public Hadith Encyclopedia too. HOW IT WORKS Quran checking runs entirely on your device - the full Arabic text (Tanzil Project's Uthmani edition) is bundled directly inside the extension, so nothing about what you asked or what the AI said is ever sent anywhere. Hadith wording checks make one request to HadeethEnc's public API for the quoted phrase only. No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. WHAT THIS DOESN'T DO Ground Truth checks whether a reference exists and whether quoted text matches the source. It does not grade hadith authenticity, does not rule on fiqh, and does not interpret tafsir - those require a qualified scholar's judgment, every time, with no exception.
