WHAT IT HIDES - The Shorts shelf on the YouTube homepage - The Shorts link in the left sidebar navigation - The Shorts tab on creator channel pages - Shorts videos that appear mixed into search results - Shorts videos in the Subscriptions feed - Direct Shorts URLs — youtube.com/shorts/[id] is rewritten to youtube.com/watch?v=[id] so the video plays in the regular YouTube player EVERY RULE IS A TOGGLE Click the extension icon to open a settings panel. Each hiding rule is an independent switch you can turn on or off. The settings panel also shows a count of how many Shorts URLs have been redirected. PERMISSIONS The extension uses two permissions: - Storage — to save your toggle preferences and the redirect counter to chrome.storage.sync - webNavigation — to detect when a youtube.com/shorts/ URL is being loaded, so it can be rewritten to the regular video URL The extension runs only on youtube.com and does not access any other website. PRIVACY No data is collected, transmitted, or shared. No analytics. No external network requests. Settings are stored locally in your browser.
